REQUEST FOR MATCH BOOKING NOTES
Please read these notes carefully before proceeding:-
LIST
OF WATERS AVAILABLE FOR MATCH BOOKINGS WITH PEG AVAILABILITY AND CHARGES.
Notes: Please
refer to the water lists for description and location of the waters.
Minimum charge for outside clubs on all venues is 20 pegs (£60) or £3
per peg for matches from 21 pegs to 49 to reserve exclusive use of the waters
for the day.
On venues that have less than 20 pegs a £3 per peg fee will apply.
All bookings will be listed in our match calendar list and published on our
web site. Matches of 50 pegs or more are charged at £2 or a minimum charge
of £100.
Two or more adjacent sections may be booked for
larger matches and will attract the lower charge by combining peg numbers.
Bookings are only accepted from 1st September to 14th March for matches from
15th March to 15th June in the following year/season i.e. bookings made between
September & February this year (2008) are for the period 15th March 2009
until 15th June 2010.
Match bookings cannot be accepted after 14th March for publication reasons.
RIVER VENUES:
DANIEL
WELL MALMESBURY
Max 25 Pegs. Access and parking at both ends of the water.
Note: this water is best fished in the late autumn or winter from October to
March as it can be weedy in the summer and peg numbers are reduced to about
15. Species: Roach Chub Perch Carp and Tench.
UPPER
CHRISTIAN MALFORD
Max 40 Pegs. Access and parking at Avon Weir Lane, Christian Malford. Species:
Roach, Chub, Dace, Perch, Tench, Gudgeon. Note: 200m walk across flat field
to first peg.
LOWER
CHRISTIAN MALFORD
Max 35 Pegs. Bankside car park next to Christian Malford Bridge. Species: Chub,
Roach, Dace, Perch, Tench, Barbel, Gudgeon, odd big Bream.
Upper & Lower Christian Malford can be combined for larger matches.
LACOCK
ABBEY FIELDS
Includes
two fields below Lacock Bridge on the RH bank downstream.
Max 40 Pegs. Parking in the public car park at the rear of the Red Lion PH only.
Note: the National Trust Car park on the bridge Road does not open until 10.00am
on Sunday mornings. Species Chub, Barbel, Dace, Roach, Perch, Bream, Gudgeon.
LACOCK
QUEENSFIELD FARM
Max 40 Pegs. Parking in Queensfield Farmyard. Species: Chub, Barbel, Roach,
Bream, Dace, Perch, Gudgeon.
Abbey Fields and Queensfield may be combined for larger matches of up to 65 pegs max due to overlapping sections at the bottom of Abbey fields and the top of Queensfield.
AVONCLIFF
TO LIMPLEY STOKE
Max 60 Pegs. Divided into three 20 zones: Zone 1 is from Avoncliffe Aqueduct
to the railway river bridge. Zone 2 is from the railway bridge to a point opposite
Freshford seawage works. Zone 3 is from the sewage works to just above Limley
Stoke Weir. All sections can be individually booked or combined for larger matches.
Parking at Avoncliffe public car parks, or near Limpley stoke Bridge. For larger
Matches permission may be obtained from Mr B. Godwin at Timothy Rise Farm (Next
to Limpley Stoke Bridge) to use the small weir field for parking. This must
be done in advance of the match day to allow Mr Godwin to arrange for the gate
from the road to be unlocked. Species: Chub, Bream, Roach, Perch, Tench, Dace,
Gudgeon & Barbel.
FRESHFORD
Max 35 Pegs. Parking in Freshford Station Car Park. Note: this can be full mid-week.
Limited access also available from the lower end. Species: Bream, Chub, Tench,
Gudgeon, Dace, Roach, Perch & some Barbel.
BATHFORD
CHURCHES
Max 25 Pegs. Parking area at the end of Tyning Road in Bathampton Village [do
not block the gates into Jewsons yard or the level crossing] and adjacent to
Bathford Railway bridge on the A363 Bradford on Avon Road (Pathway leads up
over the Railway Bridge)
Species: Roach, Dace, Perch, Chub, Bream, Tench and some Barbel.
BATHFORD
CANDY’S
Max 25 Pegs. Parking in lay-by gate in the Toll Bridge Road and also just inside
the entrance to Bathampton Mill Restaurant Car Park.
Note: gate is fitted with a combination Lock. Match organisers will be given
the combination on booking; please make sure gate is kept locked when anglers
are through going to the match and after exiting. Species: Roach, Bream, Dace,
Chub, Tench, and odd Carp
Bathford Churches and Candy’s may be booked together for larger matches.
RIVER
BRUE SOMERSET RIVERHOUSE FARM
Max 30 Pegs. Parking in the field next to Riverhouse Farm Bridge, KEEP TRACK
CLEAR. Species: Roach, Skimmers (and big Bream) Chub, Dace, Rudd, Eels odd Tench
and Carp.
RIVER
BRUE BLACK BULL BRIDGE.
Max 30 Pegs. Parking alongside track to waters KEEP TRACK CLEAR. Species: Roach,
Bream, Skimmers, Eels, Dace, Rudd, some Tench.
RIVER
BRUE TEALHAM MOOR
Max 60 Pegs. Parking in Whitehouse Drove Note: 200m walk (flat) to river. Species:
Roach, Bream, Tench, Rudd, Dace, Chub, Eels and odd Carp.
STILLWATER VENUES:
SABRE
LAKE Nr Calne, Wilts
Max 35 Pegs. Large Car park at Quemerford Gate Farm 150m from lake. Draw pavilion
and toilet on lake side, most swims have large comfortable platforms. Species:
Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Crucians, Gudgeon.
PAWLETT
PONDS Nr Highbridge, Somerset
Max 50 Pegs. Four lakes; approx 1-1.25 acres each, with adjacent large car park.
Majority of swims have large comfortable platforms. Species: Rudd, Roach, Bream,
Carp, Tench, Eels some Perch.
SHACKELLS
LAKE LANSDOWN Nr Bath
Max 30 Pegs. Large car park area but 300m walk to lake across fields. All swims
have platforms. Note: the lake is closed from 1st May to 15th June each Year.
Species: Roach, Rudd, Bream, Carp, Tench.
TOCKENHAM
RESERVOIR Nr Lynham, Wilts
Max 40 Pegs. Note: Max 6 Matches per year allowed on this venue and are subject
to board approval. LH side of reservoir and 4 pegs on the dam only available
for match bookings. Premium peg fee applicable – see list below. Species:
Carp, Roach, Bream, Rudd, Tench, Perch.
OLD
RIVER AXE CUT OFF SECTION Bleadon, Nr Weston Super Mare
Max 45 Pegs. Note: Also includes 600m of the River Axe which may also be used
from 16th June to 14th March increasing venue to 60+ pegs. Car parking in The
Crescent at Bleadon. Species (lake) Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench,
Eels (River as before plus Bream).
